Marina Pescatori has travelled extensively in Italy since a very young age, from Sicily to Veneto, where she was born. She discovered the gift of portrait painting at the age of seven when she began to sketch the profiles of her friends in school.

Self-taught, she learned the art of oil-painting. Then, continuing her artistic growth, she went on to 'matita nera', 'sanguigno' and water-colour to soften the features of the faces she was drawing.

It was while she was studying at "La Scuola Libera del Nudo" at the Art Academy in Rome that she discovered her ability to depict the human body, its positions, its expressions and its beauty. However, she continued for many years to be, above all, a portrait painter.

In 1997, attracted by the art of sculpture, she attended an "atelier" in Montmartre, where she lived for sixteen years. In this "atelier", she acquired the art of working with clay and the ability to express her gift of giving shape to substance.

Since then, she has dedicated her artistic work to sculpture,, The dominant theme of her sculptures, based mainly on live models, are busts and nudes and the value of her most beautiful works is enhanced by the substance which makes them eternal, bronze.
